Manager, Provider Relationships

At Great Lakes Integrated Network (GLIN) we are continuously expanding our services and remain committed to healthcare innovation, clinical transformation, and high-quality care throughout Western New York.  In order to continue to excel, we are in search of a highly experienced, energetic, and motivated individual to lead provider relationships, engagement and collaboration. 

As our Manager of Provider Relationships, you will operate in both a strategic and tactical role as you expand our engagement program for the advancement of our Population Health Service Organization (PHSO), and our strategic alliance with our health system partner through education, alignment, problem solving and collaboration.  In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Network Services and Operations to enhance and expand our provider engagement program, cultivate relationships across our clinically integrated network, and educate our network providers on our support services, resources, PHSO strategy, and value-based quality program opportunities.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes a successful provider engagement operational strategy, which leads to the achievement of GLIN’s corporate goals and positively impacts the fiscal strategies of the organization, as well as those of its health system and payer partners
  • Identifies objective measurements of success, benchmarks, and performance drivers for engagement; provides monthly updates with opportunities to improve collaboration and engagement
  • Develops and leads execution of the full spectrum of provider engagement activities from initial onboarding, education and implementation to ongoing account management including those designed to improve participation and collaboration between physicians, revenue opportunities through participation in our VBP’s and provider retention
  • Facilitates physician-to-physician meetings to establish and further enhance referral relationships; develops, fosters and maintains relationships with healthcare professionals to find opportunities to strategically align their interests to the strategic interests of the organization
  • Conducts competitive research and provides market intelligence to organizational leadership, identifying potential opportunities, risks and changing trends in the local healthcare landscape
  • Works collaboratively with the Manager of Network Operations to develop and enhance provider performance resources and tools; drives and monitors the adoption of OPA Marketplace™ and the available network offerings through a systematic approach and benchmarks
  • Assists the Network Operations Department to work collaboratively with health system goals in physician recruitment and contracting efforts
  • Drives strategic initiatives within the provider network and ensure that the alignment of departmental objectives is congruent with corporate strategy
  • Works collaboratively with the Director of Network Services and Operations, maneuvers multiple tasks independently with a fast paced proactive vs. reactive approach to changing priorities while meeting objectives, with attention to managing many details and remaining focused in an ever-evolving environment.
  • Develops a staffing model and builds a cohesive team by establishing clear direction, deliverables, weekly and monthly benchmarks and annual goals
    Documents all touch-points and physician activity in Salesforce


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Significant industry experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Five or more years of experience working in an  ambulatory setting; or equivalent work experience
  • Three or more years of experience in a managerial role preferred
  • Salesforce CRM experience preferred, as well as a managing social media and marketing platforms
  • Strong relationship and provider engagement/account management skills
  • Strong leadership skills including experience building and managing a high-performing team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to critically evaluate programs against organizational objectives and benchmarks to determine success and ongoing viability
  • Managerial skills that extend cross-functionally and contribute to driving an exceptional experience for participating providers/practices/health delivery systems
  • Results-oriented, capable of clearly translating strategic objectives into goals and actionable processes that drive desired outcomes
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with exceptional ability to communicate at all levels of the organization demonstrating political and organizational savvy and the ability to influence both provider audiences
  • Experience with formal presentations
  • Familiarity with Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid risk adjustment is preferred
  • Experience working with risk-bearing or large health delivery systems is preferred
  • Local Travel Required
